PEHLA DIDAR

1 Hour Ago In the living room of Sharma Sadan, again echoed the laughter as Sharma ji, aka Yash's father "Mukesh Sharma", made fun of his son in front of the Rathods. The family laughed at it, sulking. Yash sat aside, hearing all the jokes made on him. Beside him was sitting a boy, around 16, wearing a black shirt, pants, and a red shirt, and a black wristwatch that hugged his muscular body perfectly. His sleeves were rolled up, showing his veiny hands. A black wristwatch adorned his wrist on his fair, milky-white skin. His hair was messy, with a few strands falling on his forehead to give him a devilishly handsome look. The boy was none other than...The sulking Yash tugged at his sleeves. He looked towards him with an unhurried movement, raising an eyebrow in question: "What?"

Yash whispered, "Let's go for a bike race. As you know, bring your bike tonight.""The one who loses will do one day of homework for the other." He nodded, as he was also getting bored among the elders. They informed their parents and made their way to their darling bikes. As they started the bikes, the engines roared to life like a beast. They met each other's eyes. As Yash's house is at the outskirts of the city, they didn't wear helmets. They set the starting point and end point at an old garden full of trees β€” a haunting, big forest. The race started. Yash tried to overtake him, but about whom are we talking? He can't overtake the legendary bike racer. As he accelerated to full speed, he reached the garden. He started waiting for Yash, as he got so much later. He drove like insane, so he reached much earlier than the time it needed to cover the distance.

After a couple of minutes, he heard the sound of Indian classical music and the jingling of ghungroos from the garden. His curiosity got the better of him, and he made his way toward the haunting garden. It was already 8:00 pm, so it was a bit hard to see properly because there were only a few lights near the garden. As he got inside, he saw a girl twirling in a red Anarkali, looking like a red rose. Her half face was covered with a dupatta like a veil, only giving a glimpse of her red, plumpy lips. Her feet were adorned with alta , and ankles with ghungroos which were creating a soft, soothing, hypnotizing melody.T he sight in front of him made his heartbeat a bit faster. He forgot to breathe. For a moment, his legs got frozen in place, his mind stopped working, and his heart started beating in an anomalous, animalistic rhythm. He got hypnotized at the sight of the girl in front of him, looking like a flower and fire at the same time. Her face was glowing in the moonlight.

Her steps were graceful and unhurried, like a muscle memory. As the song came to an end, the girl stood in a final pose β€” eyes closed, one hand towards the moon and one towards the ground. Her chest was rising and falling from heavy breathing, her lips parted to gasp for air. The sight was so surreal that no one could believe it, like a hypnotized person. VRIT made his way towards her. His legs moved on their own. As he stepped closer to her, he felt the change, the shift of air around them. The charged intensity around them made them feel the weight of it. He stopped just inches away from her. She sensed someone's presence and felt his warm breath go ghost over her skin, like a warm breeze on a cold night, giving her a feeling of warmth and home.He too felt the warmth, the pull she had. Her intoxicating scent β€” something of rose, sandalwood, and uniquely her own β€” was giving tranquility to his inner beast.

Their eyes met β€” her dense, evergreen eyes met his ocean-blue eyes. Time stilled for them. The trees stopped moving, as if they had been spellbound by the encounter of two natural disasters: fire and ice. Because if they met, only destruction would be left behind. They could not see each other fully. His face was covered by the shadow of a mask, leaving only the sight of his blue, piercing eyes. And her face was covered with her dupatta like a veil, leaving only the sight of her rosy, plump lips, parted slightly, as if to say something. But no words came out, because even the words didn't want to shatter the serene sacredness that the cherished collision of cosmic twin flames had longed for β€” to meet each other after decades. Because they had been separated from each other, but never forgot each other. His hand rose to take off the veil covering her face, to see the person hidden behind the shadow. To see those green, dense, evergreen eyes properly β€” eyes that were making him go insane. Key Fixes

But as he was about to touch her, to take off the veil β€” the only barrier between her and his eyes, their eyes β€” to meet, to recognize the person... to know who she was. The one who felt like home. The one who felt like a part of him. The one who made his heart race at an animalistic pace. The one who was the divine beauty behind the veil that had left him utterly captivated. But before he could take off the only barrier, she stepped back, coming out of the daze. His heart whispered for her to stay near him, but her mind screamed to run and she did. She ran away as fast as she could. And he just watched that nymph in red β€” how her Anarkali fluttered around her like petals, how her veil floated in the air like blazing amber. How the sound of her ghungroos made the pleasant sound that made his stomach flip. And how, despite everything, he couldn't take his eyes off her, even when his mind screamed at him that it was forbidden, that she had nothing to do with him. But his heart said otherwise. It sang a divine melody, as if it had recognized something. And in the confusion and...

Beneath the confusion β€” who is she? β€” and in the urge to go to her again, a temptation... an ancient something, a primordial bloom, started to bloom inside him. Like a plant that was thirsty, quenched by the meeting of their eyes. As she moved away, the clouds came alive, drenching the soil like a peasant's field, dried and parched. Even between the chaos, a vow got sealed and destiny played its part very well. Giving them the taste of each other's past, a life beyond this. Here they flame, but not apart. Yet here they have to be separate because they are still unknown to each other in presence and mind. But still, their hearts started their part β€” blooming a delicate flower from chaos, apart.
